California Expat provides private installation consulting services for expatriation and moving to California. California Expat is not a law firm and can not perform the legal services that a lawyer can perform. California Expat is not a business broker, real estate agent, financial advisor or tax advisor.
California Expat can help you to prepare your expatriation with advice and remote assistance, for the logistic and the steps to provide before your departure. Upon arrival, California Expat advises and assists you in all your steps related to your private installation. California Expat is not physically present during your appointments. California Expat does not intervene within the framework of advices or steps related to your professional installation, or those of your trade or your company.
California Expat helps you identify the documents needed for your installation, but can not be held responsible for missing documents to be submitted to US authorities or service providers when you arrive on US soil.
As part of the departure services, the expected duration of the assignment is 4 months from the signing of the contract of employment. At the end, you are deemed ready to leave and the California Expat support is over. In any case, the mission ends when you leave your country of origin to go to the United States as part of your expatriation project, even if the four months have not passed. Under no circumstances will unused periods be carried forward or refunded. If you are unable to travel to the United States and can not successfully complete your expatriation project for any reason, California Expat can not be held responsible and no refund will be made.
As part of the services upon your arrival in California, access to our online documentation will be possible prior to your physical arrival in the United States, but only as long as you can provide us with a copy of the your visa as proof of effective departure. The expected duration of this assignment is 4 months from your date of arrival in the United States. You must be able to provide California Expat with proof of your actual arrival date if necessary. At the end of this period, you are deemed to be installed and California Expat support is deemed to be complete. In the case of a subscription to the services related to the arrival and that you are unable to leave to the United States and to carry out your project of expatriation whatever the cause, California Expat does not can be held responsible and no refund will be made.
California Expat is committed to providing all possible advice and assistance, but can not guarantee the positive outcome of the means implemented. Thus, California Expat can not guarantee the acceptance of an appointment or a lease by a real estate agency or an owner, the acceptance of the registration of a child in a school, the attribution of a number of social security by the US authorities, the agreement to open a service by a supplier (water, gas, electricity, telephone, internet, etc.), as well as the acceptance of the opening of a bank account or a credit card by a bank or financial institution.
You will have to go in person to your appointments with US authorities, real estate agencies or housing owners, schools or service providers of any kind. California Expat will not be entitled to represent you at these meetings if you can not go there personally.
